How to Make Thanksgiving Food

We all know that Thanksgiving dinner can be daunting. If you are one of the lucky ones that was chosen to make the entire meal this year, don't fret! We have compiled a list of recipes to make it easy on you. Just follow these and you will be the talk of the table!

The Turkey

Let's jump right into it. The turkey is definitely the most important part of the meal. It is the centerpiece of your table and is going to take over 4 hours to cook! So be sure to get this prepared and in the oven early in the day.

You will just have to clean out the turkey, cover it in a mixture of oil and spices, and put it in the oven for 3 hours. Other than checking on it, you just let the bird do its job!

The Gravy

While the turkey might be the pretty centerpiece, it is nothing without its trusty sidekick. The gravy is going to add flavor and moisture, so even is the turkey gets messed up, the gravy can come to the rescue.

This recipe is easy because it uses soup as the base. Just add cream of chicken soup to turkey stock and let simmer. Add warm milk, stir, and you're good to go.

The Stuffing

What is Thanksgiving dinner without the stuffing? Any time you can an excuse to eat excessive amounts of bread is great for everybody.

In this recipe, you will look sausage, onion, and celery and then add that to bread crumbs before baking it to a golden crisp.

The Mashed Potatoes

If reading this list is making you excited for all of the great food you have coming for dinner, you aren't alone. Mashed potatoes are great because you can make them as complex or as simple as you want. Add cheese or garlic if you want or just stick with the traditional plain type. Everybody will be happy regardless.

You will boil potatoes until tender, mash them, and add dairy to thicken them. You can cook up to this point in advance. When you are close to eating, put them in the oven to bake a little, and you're good to go!

The Green Bean Casserole

You have to add at least one vegetable to pretend like you aren't eating everything that is bad for you, right? Not only does this taste great, but it adds the much needed green color to your table!

You will cook the green beans, cook onions and mushrooms in another pan, then cook flour, butter, and milk to make the sauce. Combine all of the items and throw in the oven to cook.

The Pumpkin Pie

Thanksgiving is nothing without the dessert. Pumpkin pie is a classic that everybody will expect and love to finish your meal.

Combine pumpkin, milk, eggs, and spices. Add to crust. Cook for 40 minutes. Enjoy!
